Many thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers..

They called again from the vas. sur. office to say they want to have further artery scan done..one with exercise...so they faxed my MD..just talked to my MD's nurse and said the request was on the ans. machine when they got back from lunch..didn't know why they just didn't order the test themselves..she is getting with my MD and back to me..asked if there was something I should or shouldn't be doing and if it was life threatening...she said he would have let me know if he wanted me to do or not do anything I normally do and that he would have admitted me if it were life threatening..so now I just wait until he is through with his patients and he will call me...He is very active..goes to the hospital before the office and then back between 12-2 when they close the office for lunch and then back in the evening to see in house patients again...he is very caring so know he will call as soon as he if free...
calleld the vs office to say that maybe they should also get my records from my Neph. since I have artery stents in my kidneys also and that they had cleared an intestinal artery when they put them in....looks like all my arteries are acting up.....oh well it is just wait..and then wait some more....

thanks again for the caring...it is great to have so many FC friends that care...

jrztomato.....Try to stay calm. If you have been taking blood thinners already it might be only scar tissue. Sometimes they damage things when they are taking veins out. Every time you go to a doctor they find another test to do. Was your leg bothering you before with pain? Better to know what the problem is so they can correct it.
Will be keeping you in my prayers hopefully they will call you today so you can relax over the weekend.

Deb,
I am glad to hear you are feeling better andf I hope you have a really fun train ride with your husband this weekend!!
When I was a kid, school started for us after Labor Day as well. Seems it starts earlier and earlier every year.

BarBar, how did your first day at work go? I hope you enjoyed your first day! I agree that your insomnia is probably related to anticipation and after a few days at work you will get back to a normal sleep routine. I have had a hard time getting used to getting up so early (4:30) as I was a night owl though it is getting easier everyday.
How is John doing at his job?

DeBora, that birthday party for you dgd sounded just precious! Sorry she got hit by a swing though.
I can relate to your husband on the email thing. Until I discovered Family Corner 3 years ago I had never even used a computer. I am still pretty much a novice, meaninig I can email and that is about it. My picture and siggy are from dear friends who help this poor soul out!! LOL!!! I would love to know how to put on all the cute graphics you all include in your postings!!! One of these days I will learn how to do so!

Lita, how is Your job going?

Pag sent me the most precious picture of herself for my collection!! I am really enjoying receiving everyones photo's!! Please keep them coming!!

I am a bit LESS sore today than I was yesterday and that is a good sign. I carried my tray lower today and that helped, atleast with the pain in the shoulder. Just took a hot bath and am slathered in Ben Gay!!
Anyone use theragesic? I need to find something without the Ben Gay smell, you know, so I can wear it while I am working.
Today I made 60 bucks in tips, makes getting up at 4:30 well worth it!!

Anyone seen the show "Town Haul?" It sounds very much like Extreme Home Makeover (which I love) except for the help is extended to a whole town. It's on tomorrow night.

Well, going to go make some spaghetti. Mark will be home soon.

hugs,train

Margaret, stay calm, sweetie. There is so much that doctors can do nowadays for all sorts of medical problems.
Thank you for the sweet card you sent me today and know you are in my prayers.

hugs, train

Hi ..just checking in before I turn in ....

Not really sleepy at all but just tired out so think I'll get ready for bed and watch TV or read 'till I get that way..

update...in the never ending saga of md calls....I called the vs and found that they had left early for the day so I called my MD...The nurse said she would tell the MD and see about ordering the test...then she called me back...she said that he said....."Forget that Doctor...Call Dr.C......first thing Monday a.m. and that that they would fax him my test results today..." and then she added he doesn't want you to take that test anyway...So Dr. C..... is the referral surgeon I had in Dec. who checked and found that among the other things that I had very small gall stones...and he would check then at a later date because they weren't big enough to cause me any problems then....I really like him...nice bedside manner, good rep and above all not looking to operate when he didn't have to....so I really feel comfortable going to him..and the other good thing is that he is right here in town and on staff at the hospital I am used to going to also in town...and..he is a member of the HMO that I belong to...the other surgeon also in the plan but on staff at Cape Canaveral Hospital about 45 min. from me...It is also a part of my HMO..in fact the HMO owns that one, the one in Melbourne where I had my by-pass(Holmes Regional) and one in Palm Bay the last two are over an hour from here...I go to Parrish Medical Center which is not owned by my HMO but they have use of it and the staff...didn't plan to ramble so long..anyway...will make an appt. monday with the surgeon.
Sueanne...the symptoms I had were that when I walked a lot (like around Walmart for over 2 hrs..sure didn't want to miss anything) my legs would be very tired and ached when I got home..I would put them up for awhile and it would go away...I tried different shoes with different levels of support but nothing mattered..Also I have arch supports that were made especially for me and used them and it didn't make any difference.
I even thought it was because I didn't walk as much as I thought I should be walking....
anyway...that is it till I see the new surgeon...
so I am off to

Margaret, I will be keeping you in my prayers!

I am tired tonight.... I catnapped for a while after we got home...... long drives are so tiring I think!

My dd, Jasmine is 14 soon to be 15! The doctor doubled her dose of Plaquine (sp) and we go back in six weeks. Of course more blood tests for her liver since all the meds can cause problems.... She is to start weight bearing excerse to prevent bone loss.... again due to the meds she is taking.... She gets lots of calcium and vit D so that is covered. Both my grandmother and dh's grandmother had terrible bone loss..... makes me feel better that we can try to prevent this for Jasmine. Also I found out why the doctor doesn't want to use the injectable biogenics for the JRA..... there are no studies that show what the long term affects can be. As much as I want to try the injectables...... I do agree with the doctor. But the meds are there IF we need to use them. I will give this medication until the end of Sept when we go back....... She has to have less brain fog this year and I am already seeing that.... Plus we need to do whatever we can to prevent bone damage..... I feel energized and ready to 'fight' this battle with Jasmine.

My check up was great! The doctor sees the same results that my reflexogist sees...... so I should be back to myself in a few weeks.... healthy. I told the doctor I don't remember how it feels to be healthy. I figured it up and it has been almost six years since I first got sick. I am ready to make up for lost time with my kids. I need to stay on B12 shots not switch over to pills. My levels are too low. I should know the results of my blood tests next week along with Jasmines.

My oldest ds had a job interview today..... they liked him BUt wanted someone with more knowlegle. God knows where this kid needs to be. I keep praying.

Not trying to forget everyone else ..... just too tired I think to think!

oh.... I bought a treadmill, a manual one for dd and the rest of us, for $4.00 at Goodwill. I got wonderful buys there today.... I shopped there and the Dollar Tree.... and I was ready to drive home.

jrztomato - sorry that you got the news that bummed out your day. Will be saying prayers for you that all works out!

Debk - glad that you are feeling better. I am impressed that you remembered all of the posts. Have a great time tomorrow with DH.

Lee - I don't see anything wrong with the dress code either. A lot of our public schools have gone to strict uniforms. One school's parents and children complained about the individual freedom but were outvoted. So the policy at your school is not as restrictive as a lot of them. As was stated it is simple to get the uniform out and hear no arguements! All kids are on a more even playing field with no name brands.

Train, sounds like you're finally beginning to get used to the job. It also sounds like by your tips that you are a natural at this! You may be naturally shy, but you must love people and enjoy serving them. Anyway, it has been nice to "see" you start from day one with your competitions there--having fun and enjoying yourself, every step of the way. I bet as time goes on, your tips will get biger still. I continue to wish you well.

Jrztomato, I my dear, I wish you well with those legs. I know you must be frightened and frustrated. I kinda cringe when I hear "insurance" and "HMO" as they are one of those necessary evils. I agree, there are so many wonderful changes in medical field. I will be thinking of you in hopes that they'll get you fixed up with those veins so that you'll feel better both physically and mentally.

Bluebird, I can relate to your being tired from driving. I too have been doing so much driving. I keep wishing I were rich. Because if I were rich, I'd get me a pilots license and an airplane and just fly everywhere! Driving just gets so old!

Lee, I too agree with the dress code. In college, I see girls with tattoos right above their butt cracks. Then, they wear their pants, shorts, or skirts (usually too short) lower than their waste to show off the tattoo. However, I see so much of that butt crack. (Didn't we used to call them "plumbers?") Anyway, it is very distracting when a person is trying to study and learn. I guess what I am trying to say is that school is a place for learning. The atmosphere should be optimal for learning. Children should know that they are there not to try and be better looking than others or have better things, and so on. I think individuality is very important, but how a person is required to dress for school or an adult has to dress for work doesn't have to deter that ability to express oneself. That's just my opinion.

I've got something exciting to tell everyone. I know it's only a big deal for me, but I've just got to share. It's no secret that I go to 2 NASCAR races per season. I also try and go to at least one fan club outing per year. Bobby (Labonte) is a wonderful man as well as a great driver. He is a Christian man and Donna, his wife, as well as his children are wonderful as well. Even Martha, Bobby's mother has helped me with a school project last semester. Last October, Terry, Bobby's brother decided to retire beginning this season. Because of that, they combined their fan club outings. (Justin, Terry's son and Bobby's nephew officially started his fan club and is now racing full time as well, so he was there as well.) Anyway, I had a few things that I wanted Bobby to sign and a few things I wanted Terry to sign. We were limited to how many items we were allowed to get signed. I had a photograph, that I had taken, of Bobby and Terry in a race in Texas together on the track. No other race cars were in the picture. It is perfect! I've wanted both Terry and Bobby's autograph since I had it developed. I was able to get Terry's autograph, but not Bobby's. I thought, no problem, I'll see Bobby in Texas and get it then. Well, I developed an ear infection and wasn't able to see him. So, during the first week of May, I sent off this photograph to Bobby for him to autograph. I knew that it would be at least 18 months because he is that behind and he is that busy! I've been depressed about not having that autograph because with me going to school I won't be able to go to any fan club outings or races for quite a while. Well, guess what? The photograph arrived in the mail today autographed by Bobby!!!!!!!!!!! I was ans still am so excited about getting it so soon. Terry had signed his name right above his car and Bobby signed his name right above his car. I've already framed it and have it packed! My birthday is Tuesday and I cannot think of a better thing to brighten my day! I do not plan on ever selling this photo, but it's kind of neat knowing that this picture is of 2 NASCAR drivers who are the ONLY siblings in history to both have championships. I plan on scanning it and posting it for everyone when I get to Las Cruses so that ya'll can see it.

We were planning on leaving for Las Cruses early Saturday morning. Then I remembered that qualifying for the race begins at 11am mouontain time followed by the Busch race, which Bobby will be in. So, we will just have to leave after the race! lol

Sorry I rambled. Getting that photograph signed has been a little dream come true and I am so excited!
