As far as indoor line drying, you could get the drying racks to dry inside. I know it is just you, your dh, and puppies. Most new mobile homes come with two bathrooms, so you would have the option of using the second one as a line drying room! I dry my clothes indoors over the winter, and we have six of us living in a mobile home, and ours is a smaller mobile home.
Not sure if you are aware of that or not but, just because you say doublewide, doesn't mean you are getting the biggest trailer. They come in shorter and longer sizes, so watch your self on the sqare footage when you start to look for a mobile home. Are you planning to buy brand new?
Oh, and as far as anchoring your mobile home. I know PA has standard laws of how they are to be tied down, so be sure to check into that. The place where you buy the home should be able to take care of all that if you buy brand new.
Outside storage, we have a shed. I think it is an 8'X10', which doesn't hold much more than DH's riding mower, a push mower 2 bikes, and other various small items. Hopefully that will give you an idea.
