Printers for Invitations

A friend of mine will be sending out wedding announcments and invitations soon. Does anybody have a printer they would recommend for doing some of this stuff at home?

I just printed some engagement party invitations (for my ds & his fiance) at home with my HP psc 1210 printer, and they looked beautiful. To be honest, nearly any home printer does a professional job these days (I wouldn't purchase a new printer just for invitations). The trick is to practice with the various style fonts and spacing to make the invite look professional. Good luck!

Printing wedding invitations

I am going to be printing my daughters wedding invitations on my HP Office Jet 7310. I too think the trick is to practice first and know what is available on your computer and printer. Look through the books of those professionally done to get examples. The kits you can buy come with examples too. Good luck!!

Like someone said any home printer works fine for printing invitations and announcements and such. I have done that sort of thing with my Lexmark printer before. I also like the variety of papers you can get to print invites out on. Their are some great quality paper, now since a lot of people are scrapbooking and crafting more.
