Hello everyone! I haven't been around much lately, been pretty busy with work and with the holiday. not enough hours in the day or days in the week!! When I finally came back, everything looks different!! I think I have the hang of it now. I am doing well. It has been a hard month. my mom (Breezy) loved this time of the year and her and my fathers anniversary is this month. Needless to say, he is not having a very good month. On July 27 it will have been six months since her passing. but it feels like last week to me. But, we must go on and find a way to make it through each day. Staying busy with a new job helps a lot. How is everyone's summer going so far? It has been almost untolerable here in pennsylvania. we have now had 10 straight days with temps. over 85, which is unusual for us. very hot, very humid. But great for the pool!!! My mom's family live in south Texas and they are about to get belted with Emily. Anyone else down there? Well, it is nice to be back! Talk to ya'll soon!

My stepson has gone to jail for 90 days so i am helping my DIL deal with that and with the two grandkids its been tough.megrayau - prayers for your dh and a exchange student coming how exciting..I cant wait to hear al about it.daughter-of-Breezy I know this time is rough for you and know im thinking of you and your family..Staying busy is whats helping me get through the days until the next..like hubby says one day at a time..Sandie i bet all your bears are helping take care of your foot how are you feeling now?? bar_bar Happy Birthday!!! Deb, Hope you have a fun and safe trip! Glad to hear your son got his glasses sounds like they will make a huge difference in his life.

Debora,Ds liked Madagascar and we also saw at the drive in. He loves going to the big tv outside!

sueanne, Its a good thing you were at the dentist office with your dh. Your right dentists prices are sky high, while we still had our insurance we all got work done our bill still totaled 1,000 after insurance coverage. Luckily I worked it out with the billing that until dh is employed again we only have to pay 10.00 a month.

Daughter of Breezy, Hugs going out to you and your dad. Sounds like you are keeping yourself pretty busy.

Meg, wishing your dh a speedy recovery. It must be hard on you. How fun to have an exchange student, you may learn a lot about each others culture. My cousin had been an exchange student in Germany years ago, the girl also came to the us. They are still friends and the girls dd from Germany came to stay with her family last year. When her dds are older I am sure they will go there!

Today our local farmers market starts so the kids and I will be going there today for our "field trip" Its nice since I live in the city that farmers and amish come in once a week until fall. Its the best!

Good morning all...I don't believe what just happened...well yeah I do...I hit the "more" on the smile list after I was through a very, very, long post and lost the entire thing...go figure....hopefully I will remember all I read and can again reply to them...
Teresa..I enjoyed both sites..the angelrays and the nethugs...also your plants are so beautiful..this is the first I had ever seen eith a fly tree or a purple butterfly bush...also..when I was young I can remember cutting a potato and suspending it over water in a jar with toothpicks and watching the vines grow..we would put them on the kitchen window sill over the sink and they would ending up filling up the whole sill...I don't have a window over my sink in this townhouse..sure do miss it ....thanks for sharing ..
tutterbear35..you sure have a full plate..will keep you and your family in my prayers.
meg..how nice to have an exchange student..does he speak English?..and ...can't wait to see the picks of your new home..I really enjoyed having you as a SS and our chats....
daughter of Breezy..glad to see you back posting..will keep you and your Dad in my thoughts and prayers as you get through this month.
Bar_bar..so nice that you got to spend a day with your friend..you surely deserve it...go easy on John's Spam..it is loaded with sodium..and is one of my favorite lunch and snack items..bad thing is that once I open the can I am not happy until it is gone...I keeping cutting "just one more piece" as long as I know it is in the frig.....
Sueanne..hopefully your dh won't have any pain...these surgeons are pretty good at what they do...mine cut around and behind the one I had extracted that had lost the entire side..it was flush with the gum..even with 2 big holes, I never had an ounce of pain..he had given me a pain rx and I never needed the first one...however it did seem like the holes would never heal and even now (since May) it looks like it is still healing...
Debbie...I hate flying also and do quite a bit of it nonetheless....I know that if it is my "time" then HE will take me up there or down here..so as the plane takes off and as it lands (the worst parts for me) I just say 3 words.."THANK YOU JESUS"...it gets me through every time....

a little thought for today: Worried about tomorrow"..Don't, you did that yesterday!"

Hi Everyone! I have finally!!! got my computer back! It certainly has taken them long enough to get everything fixed and it back up and running. I had the cable company out here 3 times and we finally got all that straight and then my computer died and we had to send it out to be fixed. I got it back yesterday and I sure do hope nothing else goes wrong!!! I was going through serious withdrawal not having a computer. I told Kelly if they didn't have this one fixed by the end of this week we would be going to get me another one and this time it would be a laptop! Yeah like that was going to happen when he is out of work! (I was going to call my daddy! He would have bought me one! He wouldn't want me suffering through withdrawal like this! He would have seen me having the shakes, the eye twitches, the fingers typing and there was nothing there for them to be typing on, he would have seen the sweats, so he would have bought me one just so I wouldn't have to continue having all of those symptoms!) LOL

I am in a lot of pain with this back and I don't know where we will go from here. I have to join the Y and get into water aerobics but it will cost me $284 to do that! I remember when the y was free!

Kelly is looking fervently for a job, preferably one that is not driving a truck. Please keep him in your prayers that he finds one that he does not have to drive a truck! That is our main goal.

Well, have to run, have corn to put up!

Love to all,
Nancy

But what if it's the pilot's time? Sorry, I just couldn't resist. I LOVE to fly but my DH has anxiety attacks just thinking about flying. Deb, it you were to look at the stats on how many planes went up and came down safetly versus how many have "incident" you'll find that it is more dangerous to drive in your car to the aiport. Plus, if a pilot drinks alocohol or breaks any rules, even once, his license is pulled permanently! I wish they do that to driver of automobiles! Maybe we wouldn't have so many deaths at the hands of drunks who are felt sorry for because they were drunk. I know that you'll go and come back with no problems. OK, I'll get off my soapbox about drunk drivers.

I am so glad you got your computer back Kelly! I totally understand about needing to have that computer. We finally broke down and bought me a laptop for school since I will be moving into a place with no space and I will be needing to drag it around a huge campus to boot. It has been really nice to have. The only thing is that I HATE Dell! I told them that it was imperative that I have Word. It ONLY has the paperclip assistant AND more importantly, because I have to do things in Spanish, (this is New Mexico) it does NOT have a CD to download the Spanish Spellchecker or Spanish synonyms! Grrr. First, I can NEVER get through to talk to anyone at Dell. Then, IF I get to talk to a human--he or she CANNOT speak English well enough to hold a conversation! Then, they told me that I had some other thing that includes Word--which means no frills and that I should have told them that I needed everything in Spanish! Grrrr! I don't need everything in Spanish; I need to have the spell checker and synonyms, which is an added feature! I wish I had got my laptop through Gateway, which is who I got my PC through and love it!

Daughter-of-Breezy, what part of South Texas is your mother from. I'm from South/West Texas. I know that as time goes on, it will get easier to deal with your mother's death. Have you thought about doing something in rememberance of your mother on June 27th? Take care in your healing.

Meg, good luck with the exchange student. I know these student go through some strict rules and tests to be able to do this. I have heard that it is rewarding. Good luck.

Yay!!!!!!!!!
I have finished my Denny's training!!! I am exhausted but I feel ready to wait tables now!!
I scored 97 on my test and won second place for creativity! Denny's training, I've got to admit, was really awesome! We never just read from the book but learned everything by making up skits, singing little jingles, etc....
I begin real work...(real customers and real tips) tomorrow morning at 7 AM. I'll be working 4 days a week, 7 till 3 and my days off will vary.

So next time you are at a Denny's having a Grand Slam breakfast, think of me!!!!!!!!!!!

Barbar, got your message last night and you are a sweetie!!! Just wanted you to know why I was having a hard time saying too much on the subject and I would never weant to hurt your feelings. It does break my heart with all you are going thru. Sending you big hugs and lots of love and prayers that the days ahead will be better ones. Good luck on getting the job at the christian school! And hey, teach John how to use that microwave..LOL!!!!!!!

Deb, I hope you and your family have a wonderful time on your holiday!!!!

Debora, hope you have a fun time camping!!!!!!!!

Sueanne, so sorry for all your hubby has been going thru. Seems everthing dental to medical has just gotten out of control, money wise.

Well, we have had triple digits here for going on two weeks now. 103 to 107 outside and the swamp cooler "cools the house down" to about 85. We had it checked and were told it works "just fine!!" It's just when it's so hot outside, that's about as cool as the house is going to get!! Oh, but it is miserable!! We cannot afford to have central air put in. I wish we could.
I just try to get all my chores done in the morning before it is too hot.

Thanks to those of you who have sent me photo's!! I appreciate it!!!!!!

hugs,train

hHi everyone, I hate to sound like a baby but my foot from where I stepped on the upolstery nail is really sore today so Ive been off it alot. Idownloaded Incredimail and crack up everytime the little bear with the balloons parachutes across the screen to say you have new mail!!A friend of mine made me some really cute teddy bear stat, and can ONLY be used with incredimail, thats why I downloaded it.
Deb hope you have a safe trip, dh doesnt like flying I dont mind it, the last time we went to vist fil in Florida we drove (I wanted to fly) and dh said well if we fly you wont be able to bring back too much lol, like he was really thinking of me, insteadof his fear of flying, lol.
Okay please forgive me my mind just went blank even though I just read alot of the posts, so dont feel bad if I dont acknowledge any one, its my "CRS" acting up again, lol. Oh I do want to say Nancy(kellydid) glad to see you back, hope all the "puter" problems are fixed, when we first got a pc I never thought Id become as addicted as Ihave to it, dh very rarely uses it, in fact the last time he used it was to play a game with one of our gd's .
Oh how could I forget this, last night dh stopped at the corner gas station/conveinance store, and when he got out of the truck he noticed a little girl about 2 or 3 walking around , he didnt think too much of it, and when he came out she was still there, and NO ONE else was with her, so he asked her where her mother was and she didnt answer him, he went inside and the girl in the store came out and brought her in, and called the police, now this whole time NO ONE is looking for this child! dh stayed there until the police came and they started walking up the street to see if anyone was looking for a lost child and finally after 40min they find 2 boys about 10 asking if anyone has seen a little girl. I could not believe this,dh left after that but he said there was no "parent" around anywhere, and I said how old was she and he said well she had on a diaper and tee shirt that was it,even if the 10 yr old was supposed to be watching her, I think thats a little young to be doing that.I have no idea who it was though. I hate hearing stories like that too,I hope they got a hold of the parents and said something to them.Wow, Donna I didnt know they did such extensive training at Dennys ,thats good though, they make it so much fun.
Kim, thanks for the adorable email, I sent you an email awhile ago. Well gonna go and check the mail, Im trying to walk alittle, but everytime time I put weight on my foot it throbs, Im supposed to be soaking it in epsom salt a few times a day will do that too. Just want it to be okay for the weekend, we are having the :Grandparents" baby shower for a friend of mine and her dh, there is only gonna be,8 couples, and we are all gonna get "joke" gifts, and go to the Chinese buffet I called and they are giving us our own room, free, so that will be nice, it was cheaper to do it that way and everyone likes chinese food. Have a good night.

It is so hot! 110 in the shade and 118 in the sun. Too hot. I bet dh will be melting when he comes home.

We had a great time with my out of state family yesterday.

Dad looked for mom's crochet hooks for me today. He couldn't fine them but he found all of my decortive sissors she had borrowed. I gently reminded whenever he is ready we can start sorting thru everything. He does not want to do it. Peroid.

I have been busy, doing what I have no idea, just busy..... hard to keep up iwht everyone!
