I started coloring mine because my dh said I looked like a horned owl !!! I had one spot of gray on each side of my head. I just wish I had that really thick hair left, no matter what color. My hair is so thin on top. Makes me really sad.

Lita, that cut is adorable ! I think you should go for it.
Praying for a safe and enjoyable trip for you.

Dinsky, hope your childrens wounds heal quickly.

I have to go, dh needs to eat.

Hugs

Wouldn't be great to live closer and do the girly things like hair and nails?

We had a terrible storm last night. It was over in ten minutes but lots of damagewith baseball size hail. The hail went thru our rain gutter. Ds and I have cleaned up the patio and driveway, three wheel barrows full of twigs and leaves. I think we will have three pickup loads of twigs by the time we are done. Dh did talk to his dad last night and FIL asked me if I would call the insurance company! So this will get turned it. I am so grateful.... I know we need a new roof. Question will be will FIL spend the money to fix anything? Normaly he won't, just pockets the money.

MIL is doing well after her surgery. Guess she can come home on Monday. All she can talk about is wanting to come home, she misses her dog. FIL is upset since MIL is having some memory lapses. What did he expect???

Hi Lita,
I live about an hour and a half from Van Nuys.

See if you can stay at the Holiday Inn Select, which is not far from Airtel but is right next to a Taco Bell and Dennys. Airtel is, as the name implies, right next to Van Nuys airport. It's a very industrial part of town and nothing around. They do have a restaurant at Airtel, but pricey...but if the company is paying for your meals,no worries. Airtel does have a pool.

I would love to meet you for lunch one day!! I will PM you my number.

hugs,train

just wanted to drop in.
Been rying to rest. Was Enjoying the night time as a good ole owl would..
Sitting up at night listening to the birds talking as the wind is blowing in the window has been so relaxing..
sleep late in the morning then back on Tue Chynna came to stay with us while her mom went to Houston with a new bf. LOL

Hanna wanted to go back to the babysitter where the kids were. Chynna wasnt enjoying herself and wanted to come back here.

. She was thrilled to get back to see her sissy and her mom, but hated to leave as well.
While she was here we got a sore she had developed healed and she was thrilled about that.
She was able to sleep with nana everynight and I was able to give her alot of one on one attention, which she ate up big time.

Beem able to get a few things down around the house, and had my friend " Ann" husband to looked at my waher and they are hoping it just a part they can order, Last Sat he went without the part as the guy said he had it. When he brought it out, Chris looked at it and say it was not that part.
So he just taking the part with him Sat when he goes this time. This place only stays open till noon on Sat, and it about 45 min to get there.
He did find the part for my stove and got that for me.. As the bottom element had gone out... but it fixed now.

Now it time to roll up my sleeves and go to work starting in the morning.

It was one that I had mention before about being an asst. manager for a storage unit.

I went in yesterday to check my mail, and found out that the woman that he had hired didn't work out and he was once again looking for someone. We talked and I told him today if I could take the job or not. After taking John to his dr appointment from his cancer spot he had on his cheek, I stop by to let the guy know I will take it.. So I will start in the morning...

I know I will be working on Sat for now, and about 2 to 3 days per week for awhile and then go from there. He wants to go on vacation starting Thur. so I better learn fast. LOL, so wish me success and say a prayer.

Of course I know those that has been praying for this situation, the GOOD LORD heard and answer, so thank you so very much.

John doing alright, but his schedule at work is fixing to change it looks like and we know more later.

well Need to check on a few other threads. so I see you later.

Barb....great news on the job.....Hope you enjoy it!!!!

My boys called me today ...they were so excited. They are having a great time and they got a private lessson from one of the sensais from Okinawa. You could tell by the excitement in their voices that that was a big thing for them. They got his autograph and I gues he wrote it in Japanese so they were thrillled. Looks like this trip will be something they will always remember. I am so glad we decided to send them!

Paige and I had a nice evening. After supper she had 2 little friends over with their mom and we all went swimming in the pool. I even went in. Tomorrow she is going to a friends for the day....I will be all alone Not sure what I am going to do yet? I guess it depends on the weather.

Hope you all are having a great evening!!!

Hugs debbie

Barb, I am happy for you. Both the job and the time you were able to spend with Chynna. What a wonderful influence you are. One of my favorite things is to sit on the porch in the middle of the night and listen to nature...from the birds to the frogs to the critters. We have lots of owls; I find owl pellets in my back gardens.

As far as the kids go, Jamie's knees are healing. Jen's wound will but her right knee and leg remain swollen and pretty nasty. She was in tears tonight. She is so upset that she couldn't swim today and probably will not be able to swim in the meet Monday. She is having a great deal of difficulty walking. We went to Border's to pick up a CD for Jamie's birthday and she asked if she could just wait for me at the cashiers line. Normally, one cannot drag her out of the book store. We had to stop at the drug store on the way home and she waited in the car...another aberation in her normal behavior. I feel so bad for her.

Now remember Jamie's knees are much better. But the drama king is walking around like a cross between Frankenstein and the hunchback of Notre Dame whining that he can't walk, he can't stand up, he can't get up. If offered a treat, he moves like lightning. It is almost comical.

Tomorrow, Jen's book case is finally going to be delivered. Hurray! And in the afternoon, we are having a cookout for Jamie's birthday. Lots of fun.

Deb, glad the boys are having a good time.

Bluebird, glad you survived the storms. We had some as well.

Abear, when do you get your CAT scan results back?

Well, I think that I am going to go get cleaned up for bed.

Later.

Debbie

Hope Jen's leg heals quickly. It's no fun to sit on the sidelines when you're used to being active!

My doctor was on vacation this week. She'll be back in Monday - but I expect they'll have lots to do to catch up so I am not expecting to hear from her until Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

I see that our train flowerpot and pretty flower has left us!

I'll be starting a new flower thread as soon as I can. Until then, just keep posting here.

I'll post the link to the new flower thread here when it's ready for posting.
