When my big DS was 2 or 3, he was big into fire trucks. In the town we lived in then, our bank was right across the street from the firehouse. Often I'd go to the bank and see that the trucks were out being washed. DS and I would cross the street and the fireman once let him sit in the driver's seat and gave him a little helmet. He was thrilled!

Train, have a wonderful camping trip. I knew you'd love this flowerpot! Who knew they had ones with trains?

When my ds (14 yo) was little he LOVED airplanes. We have a small airport near us, we would go to the airport and watch the airplanes take off. Once a week, we would pack a picnic and go watch the planes. We would do it for hours, I would take a book and read. We would stay in the car. Ds was thrilled as long as he could see the planes.

They are junior fire marshalls and they are given jobs and tasks to do at the hall. When they have friends over they always go to the hall to see th trucks and try on equipment, my daycare kids like to go too!!!!!

Melly I grew up around planes my dad was afighter pilot so we always lived near an air base and spent time on base or up in the air with dad.....I have some great memories

BTW I also love the flower pot. We are very much into trains as well.

When I was little and visiting my grandparents, we used to walk up the street to the general store and get peanut patties (the pink kind for anyone who knows about them) and Coke or Yahoo. Then we would walk across to the firehouse. The fire chief would let us climb all over the trucks. What a great time we had. Times have changes.

Barb - This demolition is going to be HUGE! The old conv. ctr. is very big and has these pyramids on top made of steel. The whole thing is supposed to take about 15 minutes. I am going to try to tape it (will do it on VHS). If it works, I will try to post a couple of pictures. Do you have DVD or can you play video on your computer? If so, I might be able to send it to you. The date is June 14 now. Let me know.

Well, I am off to lay down for a bit.

Debbie

It was in the 90's yesterday. Today it has stormed all afternoon. We had huge hail, wind, rain and tornados. Ds was caught in it. Went into a ditch. He is okay.... mainly hail damage on the Explorer. We did lay down the law to him, get a real job and get off the country roads. It must have scared him cuz he agreed.
