i would sit in my room with my blacklight on and have it play over and over my dad hated it!!!! i loved anything by the beegees and bread but my fav was blinded by the light

Wow, talk about memories. Well, right before high school, Def Leppard was my favorite band and my favorite song was Bringin On The Heartbreak (I still love that song too).

But after that, I got into Depeche Mode--and that was my favorite band all through high school. But my favorite song from them was Somebody. I also loved New Order and just about everything from the 1987 album.

U2 was another favorite band, and my favorite song from them is Bad.

But my very favorite song from high school and still today is Simple Minds, Don't You Forget About Me. That song brings back a lot of memories of the 80s period including the movie the Breakfast Club. Just that whole feeling.

In high school I loved Led Zepplin and Aerosmith. (I loved Stairway to Heaven and Walk this Way) I also listened to The Kinks and Peter Frampton. I was a huge J. Geils Band fan and a little after high school I started listening to Pat Benatar.

Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly with His Song", and "The first time Ever I Saw Your Face" were two of my favorites in Sophomore year. I was "in love" for the first time, and those were the songs I most closely associate with those feelings. We were together for seven years.. and those two songs still make me think of him......

I also loved music by Bary Manilow. John Denver, The Carpenters, The Eagles, Joni Mitchel, Linda Ronstadt. Of course Billy Joel.. But he came along a little after that. Wow the 70's had some good music!

The one song that really stands out is Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.

I'm remembering the song "Babe" by Little River Band, though that may have been a couple years after high school.................but I liked it!
That was one of my skating songs!!!!!!!
