New laptop?

I need to get a new laptop and am unsure of what to get. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It depends upon what you are wanting to use it for. I can help you -- I work for a computer company and have become quite the "Geek Queen"

Cherilight, maybe you can help me (or rather my daughter). My hubby is a computer guru, but isn't working. Anyway, she is going to be going to Disneyworld for a college internship and will be taking classes there. A computer would be too difficult to take, but we are looking for a cheap, used laptop. Something to do her homework on, go on the net (they have internet connection in each room.)
What do you recommend?

I don't do a lot of multimedia stuff on a laptop. I would primarily use it for work purposes. So, I would want XP Pro, and I would need top notch wireless capabilities. Also, I'd need sufficient memory. Any ideas?
