What DON'T you have or DO in your house?

I heard this question on a radio station recently and thought it was funny.
The DJ's wife is a dentist. He was saying that in their house they never have any floss. Wanted to know what other people didn't have in their houses if they had a professional in that field or someone with a specialized job. For instance a nurse that has no band aids etc.

I didn't hear the rest of the conversation and was wondering what else was there?

I'll start: my brother is a chef and rarely cooks. Their fridge is very empty.
Thanksgiving at my house this year my neice asked if I was making her favorite mashed potatoes...the kind in the red box!!!

Well, my DH is an airplane mechanic but we never get to have any planes at the house!

This is a good question. It will probably get some surprising replies.

Well, my DH is a concreter. And we don't have a basement. We live in a trailer! Kind of like ajrsmom's mom!

I am usre there are other things! I just can't think of them right now.

Although, I very seldom keep tissues in my house. As every time I need one the kids have used them all.

This is a good question!

My hubby is an electrician for M&M Mars. We live so far out in the boonies that we never had any trick or treaters at Halloween. Well one year wouldn't you know it, some little goblins showed up at our door and we had no candy! Had to give them money

On the electrician end of it......we have been living in our new house for 5 yrs. this spring. The contractors failed to put the doorbell on the back door. We still have a wire sticking out of the siding where the doorbell should go. Hubby could easily hook that up. Go figure!

OK.....who's next?

Kelly, kind of off subject here, but I got tired of waiting for dh to fix our doorbells I did it myself! A good buddy (plasterer who has not done any work in our house) showed me how. I spent more time picking out the doorbells than installing them.

You should give it a try and see how long it takes before he notices !

What a fun question!!
My husband does not have an organized desk at home!!!!

Mark is an accountant and is very, very organized at the office.....but at home!!!! At work he has an organized desk. At home there is a desk somewhere under all his papers!!!

You should see his piles of papers here and there and he can never find anything!!! He will start one project and then get sidetracked with another............. but at work can stay on task!!!

hugs,train

LJsMOM: I see that you live in a suburb of Chicago... would the radio show you're referring to be Eric and Kathy on the Mix?? I know his wife is a dentist, I listen to them every morning. In what town do you live??

Anyway, my husband is a cement contractor too and we have a black top driveway
I very rarely have tissues in the house even though I have 3 kids. I buy them only when I need them. The same with bandaids, I used to buy them frequently but then my girls started using them as dresses for their barbies and such

LJsMOM,

Thanks for the advise. I think I'll try that. See how long it takes him to notice or maybe go ring the doorbell and let him let me in!
