Supernanny

Is anybody else watching this show? I saw this for the 2nd time last night, with the pair of twins. Hoooooooeeeeeyyyy! I'm not sure who needed the nanny, the parents or the kids.

LOL, I love watching that show!!Oprah had her on her show last week and I cracked up at the expressions on Oprahs face when she saw some of the clips of the kids!!Iknow what you mean about who "really" needs the nanny. You can totally understand why the kids are the way they are when you see what the "clueless" parents are like!!My dd was watching and she called me and asked if I had it on, and I turned it on ,and she said "my kids are angels compared to these,LOL.
I think the parents need the "naughty mat" too!

I caught the last part of it too and it was the second time I had seen the show. I didn't care for the reality shows like Survicor but I really like Super Nanny. I wonder if the families will need her to come back when their kids become teenagers, lol.

I'd like to see a 6 month or even 1 year follow up. Somehow, I'm not sure if all of this stuff "sticks"

What I was wondering is how does she do all this in just one week!! It just seems kind of unbeleivable that she can change the kids that quick. Maybe over a few months but one week?
Did any of you see the one when she took the doorknobs off the doors because the little girl would lock herself in a room all the time and the parents didnt know what to do/How can they be so
"oblivious" the first thing I would do "after" I punished her would be to take off the doorknob.I cant beleive that the parents put up with this little girls behaviour and she knew exactly what buttons to push.

I think it is the parents that need Nannys help. Really the parents imo so far have have been obvisouly completly CLUELESS! Rountine is so important at least somewhat of one. Thats the first step. The mom whose child repeadlty left the house. I mean 3 yrs how could that happen???
The 2 moms that actually thought they could raise 3 kids apeice and hold time a full time job at home that needed full attention is silly! No wonder she was ready to fall apart.
Have you all noticed that the dads all seem to be gone well into the evening or do lots of travel? I too feel my children are angels compared to the ones on the show so far. I had taped one episode and my 3ry old watched with me. He told me I needed to get in there and fix those kids. lol

LOL LeighAnn when a 3yr old notices how bad they are then you "know" they must have been. Yes I did notice the dads arent around very much, also notice that most of these people seem to be pretty well off financially, so they seem to give the kids more material things than what they really need. I love how the mom in one of the shows actually asked the childs PERMISSION instead of saying okay this is what you need to do!!

I missed the first part of one of the shows a couple of weeks ago but on that one that dad wanted his wife to answer the phone all the time. I think they had a plumbing business. Super Nanny gave them a schedule to have it turned off at certain times so the mom would have more time with the kids but it still seemed like the dad wasn't too happy with it being off.

Sometimes when I've gone shopping, I've heard parents ask their kids what they want them to buy for their lunches, etc. It is usually some type of junk food and the kids are usually young, probably 5 to 8 or so. IMO, too young to make good choices on that.

Yes on the show with the phone calls the wife had to answer her husbands business calls, now they certainly had the money that she could have hired someone to go to their home for a few hours a day and help out by answering the phone, and she could spend time "learning" how to parent her kids!!

Sandi,
From looking at their homes its all about the money! Maybe they should give up a bit of the material things and take a little extra time for the kids and not just what they can "buy them" if that makes any sense.
