My castle!!

I put this on the scenic photo thread but I would really like for more of you to see it so I thought I would include it here, too!!

I went to High School in a castle, on Puget Sound in Washington State!!!
It's a beautiful place!

Check it out here:

Train....Thanks for sharing the picture. How neat, going to school in a castle. Were there any hidden rooms or secret staircases?
There is a similar situtation near where I live. The castle was built as a hotel/resort. Liz Taylor and one of her husbands(don't know which one) spent their honeymoon there. It has since been converted into a college.

I'll bet it was just plain fun going to school there. My high school was just the opposite. Very institutional looking. Boring, ugly, drab, green walls. Yuk! No wonder I don't go to my High school reunions!

Yea, it was pretty cool!!! Yes, we used the whole school except for I never saw the upper tower's. It was huge but I don't remember never having enough time in between classes to make it to the next room. I DO remember though, not enough time making it to the gym and dressed for swimming or whatever......
I loved our cafeteria that overlooked the sound! The football stadium overlooked the water as well!! Pretty Cool!!!

My only regret.......I ended up going to 4 different High Schools with my dad being transferred so much. Stadium was part of my Sophomore year and the one that I claim as it is where all my friends lived....had lived in that town since 2nd grade!!

hugs, train

that is a beautiful building. The roof design is called Second Empire style and was very popular in France. In fact The building was influenced more by the French Chauteau design than by the English Medieval Castle design. I would refer to it as a chauteau, not a castle.
