I agree on Dana's Valley read it couple weeks ago.

Also thought Diary Of Anne Frank was pretty sad

Some of the saddest books I have read are all the Dave Pelzer books, "Marley & Me" (though hysterically funny, the end was sad and made me cry), "Dewey - the Small Town Library Cat Who Changed the World" was excellent but also made me cry. "Still Alice", "Talk Before Sleep" were great books but sad. I figure any book that can evoke true emotion is a good book.

Me & Emma by Elizabeth Flock was absolutely heartbreaking. Another is The Kindness of Strangers by Katrina Kittle. I agree that Still Alice by Lisa Genova was sad as well.

Just because they're sad doesn't mean I won't recommend them. I have recommended ALL of these to others.
