I found information on both, I don't want to say what I gathered until I see if I get the same thing "out" of it as Kellydid.

But, actually I got two meanings of what the organization is about. So, I am a little confused, as to exactly what the organization does.

I personally am voting for Kerry mainly because I think our country needs a fresh start. I was so glad that he chose John Edwards, just because of the things I've read about him. He came from a very humble background... his dad worked in the textile mills and his mom at the post office. He worked with his dad to put himself through college to become a lawyer and help low to middle class people fight big name insurance companies when their claims were denied and such. Also, he and his wife took out a loan to have their first child... I know that sounds silly, but when you think of all of the politicians in this country that have had everything they ever wanted handed to them he just sounds like someone most people can relate to. So there you have it, that's my 2 cents!

Momszoo, thanks for that information on John Edwards, that was very interesting. I like to hear about politicians, that actually worked to get where they are and not just had everything handed to them.

No it doesn't sound silly.

BUT, what about the lifestyle that John Kerry (and his wife since she would be First Lady) was raised in???

John Edwards

If only IT were John running for the President and not vice versa. You have to look at the man who WILL BE the President. Look at his and his wife's upbringing. I agree, with you about John, but we really need to look at both candidates. Unfortuneately we can't just vote for the one we want to be vice president and the one we want to be president. What a great ticket that would be!!! That truly would be "for the people, by the people".

I don't think we can hold Kerry's wife's family against him unless we do the same for Pres. Bush. Both come from lots of $$$$.
Unfortunately many large companies are sending parts of their operation overseas. Do we even have an all American made car anymore? cau

But how are we supposed to stop it? Is there something we could be doing? If so please let me know!

OK...first I must explain...I am EXTREMLEY passionate about politics. I have not 100% decided to really voice my opinions not because I can't be nice because I would be but my blood pressure is raising just thinking about discussing politics

If I don't come back and actually discuss issues at least check out the Drudge Report if you haven't seen it.

Ok...gonna go think this one over!;-)

Where do we find the Drudge report?

There is just so much I dislike about Bush I don't know where to begin. That being said, I always listen to all sides of the story and will not make a final decision until November.

On the outsourcing issue: can someone explain to me why we are letting illegal people from Mexico get jobs "that no-one here wants" (per Bush) then take their $ home to Mexico to better their life. ??? This was something he put through a couple months ago and I never did understand.

OK now that I re-read that, its not really outsourcing, but similar.

Another good read that will certainly put me up on a soap box is "Lies and the Lying Liars that Tell Them" by Al Franken.
I don't believe any politician is above board and totally honest regardless of their party. This book is backed up by facts that are listed.
