The Presidential Race

Hi everyone! I'm starting this in the hopes that we can come here to discuss the upcoming race for President. No shouting, screaming, or being ugly is allowed. Just discussions to help become informed about the candidates, the issues and found out things that maybe we were not aware of. I am a registered Republican, but that does not mean that I am not willing to listen to all sides of the subject. ( I used to be a democrat, but sorry ladies, Clinton, made me change) I don't think any explantion for that is necessary. Someone asked if the Bush/Cheney ticket was going to change, I have no idea. Does anyone have any information on this? Also I am from NC, so John Edwards is from my neck of the woods. He's handsome but does not have the charisma that I believe Kerry thought he would have.

OK, I am going to jump in here! This is the first year I will be registered to vote, I did not pick democrat or republic. I have always just rooted for the one that seemed to have the best ideas.

I am hoping to get a lot of information from all of you! I hate watching the news, I get my weather from the net from my local news channel. I get too depressed over the child abuse, and shootings, and such.

So, with that being said I am leaning towards Kerry. Due to the fact that from what little I have read from I think Time magazine. That Kerry would like to do something to stop job outsourcing. From what I understand Bush is all for outsourcing. Anyone else have a take on this subject?

Is that sending jobs overseas??

If so, Kerry's wife's family company, Heinz, moved their operations to Mexico.

Yes, that is exactly what oursourcing is. Thanks for the info. about his wife's family.

Kind of makes me wonder, if he is true to his words now. Or, if maybe that is what started him on trying to stop outsourcing!

You also might want to look into Kerry's wife's donations to the "Tide Foundation" . I'll let you look into this before I tell you what I know about it.

I read about "The Tide Foundation" on the internet but couldn't find anything about Kerry's wife and the foundation.

I am waiting for my son to email the information again because it had the sources that you could go to, ie. magazines and such to find out and double check the information he found out. I do not want to post anything that cannot be double checked. Please be patient, it is important information. Excuse any errors, I had surgery this am on my left arm and I;m trying to do this one handed.
