High School YearBOOKS

Anyone still have their highschool yearbooks?
I have mine from Junior High on! My girlfriend came up to visit from Tacoma and we were looking through them so I guess that has put me in a remeinscent mood!!

It is kind of fun to go back and look at the autographs:
2 good
2 be
4 gotten............and the like!!!

How about the classmates that ignored you all year and then they write things like "lets get together" or "call me sometime", like you were the best of friends!! My favorite ones to read are with the girlfriends I really DID stay friends with! One starts out, "I wonder if you will remember me whan we are old ladies, rocking in our chairs.........and I certainly will!!
My yearbook has a lot of "Stay Sweet"s written in them!!

Oh, my senior picture...glasses...braces.....the Farrah Fawcett Do!!!! Class of 78 here!!!

I like looking in my moms old yearbooks from the 50s and how simple and happy those times looked!!!

hugs,train

I still have my high school yearbooks---we didnt have them in jr. high. My DH still has his junior and senior yr too.

Boy, I was a lot skinnier then! We dressed funny too, LOL!! What's that ???........ The clothes ARE coming back in style again.

Do you remember autograph books when you were in junior high? I will never forget that my SIL signed mine " Ill be your SIL til the ocean wears rubber pants to keep it's bottom dry"......

How many times did I write 2 good, 2 be 4 gotten??? Too many times!!

We thought that we were so cool back then. I had a an older-than-me football playing boyfriend so I wore his class ring and his football shirt every Friday in school and then would go to the games with him ( I was in the band). I also got to hang out with all the football players-----Now, How cool was that???

((((((SMILES)))))) Thanks for the memories!!!!

Cherish those books!!!

Mine went up in smoke when my parent's house caught on fire back in 1981. In fact, all of my high school momentos were lost in that fire.

for myself I do have my hi school year books.... we just had our hi school reunion (30th yr) ooch...

didn't make it due to sickness...
I have more friends here than I did in school. as I was very unpopular and very very shy.... don't laugh....hard to believe it now...

Hi to all, yes I have my Senior Year book to be honest we could not afford the whole high school ones. And we did not have them in Jr High or Elementary like they do now.

I am very close to several that were in my class and we have always stayed in touch via snail mail and phone calls and some times visits. Now we have all of that plus emails.

I still have an autograph book and it is from 7th grade in small school in SC and also second half of year in small town in NJ. I cherish that one and still in contact with some but have lost some along the years which is sad.

God bless all

I have my Jr.High and Sr. High year books. Although I might not have been the most popular person there, it's fun to run into someone who says they went to the same school, and be able to look them up and see what they looked like then. My children also went to the same High School, so we have plenty of yearbooks around.

Wow I'd almost completely forgotten about yearbooks and autograph books..when I was looking for a word starting with y on another thread I remembered the yearbooks...
I have 3 from NJ(Freshman, Sophmore and Senior) and l from Daytona Bch Fl (Junior yr..my Dad loved Fla. and we came just about every winter)..I went to Catholic grade school K-8 and we didn't have yearbooks...but we did have the autograph books.
finding this thread brings back a lot of memories.

My closest friend (now living in VA) and I have been friends since Freshman..we met in a Home Ec class...Oddly enough my Dh was from WVa and hers was from PA and they met on their own after we had married and became good friends so it was easy to stay friends..and we are still friends and always will be....

Need to get those books out and reread them...Glad I found this thread

yearbooks

Hi everyone. I have a photo of my kindergarten graduation and a photo of my Junior High graduation (no yearbooks then)! And a whole box of yearbooks. Some of them bring back memories and some of them have pictures of me in places I don't remember ever being! That's really strange. But then maybe not, since I was in Class of 1956. So if you still have yours, keep them and look at them every few years. You'll enjoy them always.
Thanks to the internet and email, I can now keep in touch with some of my old friends from school. I had lost touch because I moved around a lot. I love email.

do you still talk to any of your teachers

I graduated in 93 and I have all mine and my husband graduated from the same school in 83 so we have an 8 yr span. It is so funny to see that I had the same teachers ten years apart.... Speaking of teachers, Do any of you still talk to any of your teachers? I still do, I email at least once a month to my child development teacher. Is that strange???????
As for sayings in the yearbook it seems the saying " I wanted to be the the first to sign your CRACK" seems to be in all my book cracks!!!!!!
