Roaster

I bought a Roaster today. I plan on cooking my turkey in it. The directions say a 19 to 24 lb turkey will cook in 3 hours. That is amazing. The regular oven takes 5 to 6 hours. My convention oven is not quite as fast as the roaster.
Does any one have a Roaster? Does it really cook the turkey that fast? Does the skin get really crispy like it does in the oven?

I have had a G E Roaster 18 qt for several yrs now and love it. The skin of turkey has always been crispy for me. Originally I wanted a Nesco lol but
daughter just read 18 qt Roaster and I ended up with the G E. No gripes==hope you like yours

Charlotte, is that stuffed or non-stuffed? A non-stuffed turkey doesn't take as long in the regular oven.

Dh likes to do the turkey on Thanksgiving or Christmas. It took about 5 hours for a stuffed one in the oven that was just under 15 pounds.

I love my roaster. This picture was my first time cooking a turkey in the roaster. Last Thanksgiving I had 12 lb bird and I cooked it for 3.5 hrs and it came out looking similar to this. You have made a fabulous investment!

It was delicious and very moist. It was a butterball turkey.
