I have a white circular product from tupperware that cuts little open squares into your top crust for a pie or a pot pie. The trouble I am having is to get the piecrust to release from it. Tried just flouring it and then tried non stick spray, neither worked! Anyone else using this contraption and getting it to work?

I tried the nonstick spray method with no luck. It is so full of holes (to cut the holes in the crust) I'm not sure ice water would work and it is all plastic anyway.
One of my Amish friends just told me she turns it upside down and puts her crust on it and then runs her rolling pin over it and then pokes out the small squares of dough and flips it with the crust on it over onto the pies! I haven't tried it yet myself, but she bakes about a dozen pies at a time doing this so it must work!
