Canning Pears

I am new to canning anything and am still learning. My pear tree is absolutely full of pears and I am wanting to can some of them if I can gather all the utensils I will need. Anyway, is there someone out there that has canned pears before? I really want a tried and true method since I am new at this and probably wouldn't know "if I am doing it right" with just reading a recipe for doing it. So anyone ready to share with me? The pears are just about ready!

When we lived in the midwest we had friends with pear trees, and every year we got all we wanted. I just used a recipe I think I found with the jars. Very easy and very tasty. And they last forever! If I had a jar that didn't seal I would just stick it in the fridge and use it first. If I ended up with a lot of juice, I would can it and use it for pancake and ice cream topping. It was wonderful. I know this is kind of vague, but I think any recipe you like will work. I don't think there's any "trick" you need to know to have them turn out well. Good luck!
