I'm wondering something. I keep seeing something about awards. Some seem hard to me (its just me--nothing else). Is there any for just a certain number of posts. Also, do you join everything that you post to--in other words, did i need to join something before i posted something on the prayer chain list as my example. Thanks. (sorry i'm dumb)
Jfe, you don't have to "join" anything to post on the prayer chain. Anyone may post there at any time.
There are a couple of awards that you "join" a group to get: specifically, ornament exchange, birthday club, secret sisters, postcards, coupon club.
Others are "tip" awards. If your tip on the subject of cooking, house & home, frugal living, craft, kids' craft, or other subjects is chosen by a moderator, you will receive that award.
First, get the link you want to use "copied into your clipboard." Control+C will allow you to copy it.
Then, open up a reply window on FC. Type the words that you want to turn into a link. Highlight those words, then click on the little picture that looks like a globe with a chain-link in front of it.
In the window that pops up, paste (Control+V) your target link.
Then just finish your post and the link should show up, ready to click.
Vicki, it wasn't long ago when I learned how to do that. I figured if my friend who is computer illiterate could learn it, it must be easy! lol
Type the word that you want others to click on to go to your link. Then, highlight it. When you are replying to a thread, you will see a little globe with a link under it. It is located under the smiley face that is next to the paperclip. It will open a pop up window for you to paste your link. Press ok. Your word should be underlined with an invisible link that is "huge" that will take users to your link. Once you learn this, you will have a blast! Good luck!
