| Snail mail is putting a letter, a check, or something else into an envelope and sticking the appropriate stamps on it and sending it to through the United Stated Postal Service.
Email is typing a message in the body of electronic mail and sending it. That is different depending on the type email that you have (i.e. Outlook Express, Gmail, Hotmail, etc...) on how that is done. If this is what you are asking about, you will need to specify what type email system you are using.
