Tip for hanging decor

I have used this tip for years. When hanging anything on your walls, especially groupings, I use toothpaste, not the gel. I add a dot on the back of the item where the nail will go, then press up against the wall and thus you will see where to add your nail. This works especially well when hanging other items beside it for now you can get them exactly where you want them as not to have your groupings uneven. Should you ever want to move those groups or replace something....your toothpaste is washable.
Hope this works for you, this is the only way I hang anything.
