We just started our new school year January 7th. We homeschool all year around ( 3 weeks on / 1 week off ) and are doing a classical education using Teaching the Trivium and The Well-Trained Mind, and started history at creation. It has given us lots to do everyday for fun!
Sorry for being so long-winded! I just enjoy being a mom and homeschooling!

This list is full of great ideas!
My kids just had 2 snow days off from school. AT 6 & 12, it's hard to keep them occupied when they are stuck inside. One day we did manage to go sledding.

The other day was just ice. We met my daughter's friend at McD's so that they could play.
I love the idea of baking cookies on days like this. It's family time + it gets the kids in the kitchen to help cook & bake!
We do a lot of these things on this list in the summer, as well.
