Minnesota Virtual Academy question...

I am considering this for my fifth grader. She is public schooling right now, though has been wanting to homeschool again. I'm not ready to do it again while living with my sister and am considering MNVA. Not sure if this has already been brought up here or not, but any input?

Why does she want to be homeschooled?

The virutal academy is just public school at home via computer. Same tests are required.

I have lots of opinions but you need to think about your educational philosophy. And then we can talk privately if you'd like.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I am pretty sure our reasons for having had homeschooled were the same as many others. I also realized that it's considered public school. Right now we are in a situation where this would possibly work better for us for the time being. I am just curious as to what kind of experiences people have had with the virtual school. If you've tried this route I'd really like to hear your opinion of it.

I would also like to know if anyone has used a virtual/cyber school and if so, what their experience is/was with it?

I've started the enrollment process for my kids. I will post how it goes when it's time.
