HELP! St. Patrick's Day Craft

Hey all! I found the cute little craft for St. Patrick's Day, it is the one where you melt styrofoam cups in the oven and they melt down into hats. Well I tried it, and I failed miserably! My cups just shrunk up and didn't even get close to looking like a hat! I tried all the pans I have and nothing is working. So just wondering if anybody has tried this, says to heat them on 250 degrees. Anybody have any luck??? I would love to make these!!

I had the same problem last year but Amanda made the cutest hats this way for St. Pat's Day and this way for Easter. We determined that it could be the type of cups and the heat of the oven.

Practice with the temp of the oven using just one or two cups at a time. You have to keep a close eye on them because once they start melting, you have just seconds to let them melt before they are ruined.

Hopefully Amanda will see this and she might have some tips to add, too.
