My rule of thumb on Christmas decorating has been December 1st! Last year I didn't decorate outside, my shoulder was hurt then, torn rotator cuff and didn't end up getting surgery till March. It hurt to even use that arm! This year I'm fixed, good as new so there WILL be decorations outside!

Today I will switch out witches and ghosts for pilgrims, Indians and turkeys.
I do my Christmas decorating over Thanksgiving weekend. Since I can't stand crowds, I avoid going out that weekend so it's an excellent time to get all the decorating done and to enjoy some down time with my family before the rush of the season begins.
Black Friday is the day everyone stays home and pitches in. We eat leftover turkey and put everything up
