Howdy Trainlady,
I love hot cereals and cold ones too!
What I use with oatmeal are raisins, nuts and soy milk and no sugar. Cream of Wheat sounds good, but It has been a long while since I had it. Hot oat bran is a good cereal to have too.
Don't think eggs would taste very good on top of oatmeal either or any hot cereal or cold for that matter. But each to his/her own taste. I squirted a drop or two of sugar free maple syrup in my oatmeal and that was good.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Petunia

I've been on a Cream of Wheat kick for about two weeks now. I haven't had it in years--don't know what happened to make me try it again but boy is it good.

Julie, add a handful of raisins to your Cream of Wheat!! Yummy!!

A couple of you...Song and Leasmom, I believe, mentioned grits........I have never had grits. Is it like cereal?

Well, since I'm not a southerner, I'd say it's a lot like a hot cereal, but if your from the south you eat it with lots of butter and salt and pepper, never sugar and milk. It has a real gritty texture, hence the name grits. Southerners eat it with meat for dinner.
