Looking for more healthy snack ideas for my 1 yr. old DD
My daughter will eat just about anything. Lately Ive been sort of "burned out" trying to think of new, healthy snacks for her.
She loves bananas, mandarin oranges and just about any veggies that I can think of that she can chew. ( BTW, She is getting six teeth in at one time so she loves to chew on things)
Ive been buying veggie crackers for her too.
I wont say that she doesnt eat some junk food either but I would like some new ideas for healthy snacks to keep around the house.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tami

How lucky you are to have a child who willingly eats healthy foods! I'm jealous!!!
When Ethan was 1, I made homemade popcicles for him in the summer. I came up with this concoction:
1 sm. pkg. jello
1 cup juice
1 sm. container yogurt
(All in compatible flavors)
I mix the jello w/1c. boiling water, then pour in 1 c. juice and the yogurt. Mix well with a wisk, and freeze in popcicle molds. Now he helps me make them - and they don't drip.
Tami, have you offered her slices of cheese? (Munster or mild cheddar are soft and "gummable".) How about some mini muffins, frozen and spread with cream cheese.?
My daughters also loved frozen bagels to snack and teethe on.
I also used to give them their Zweibak toasts and a small bowl of jarred baby-fruit for "dipping".. It was "hours of fun" LOLOL...
They also liked steamed and cooled broccoli florettes and carrot and sweet potato slices at that age.
It can get monotonous.. That's how I feel about feeding the rest of the family too! LOLOL!!

Im going to try your popsicle recipe, VickiLynn. Thanks! I know that she will like them. Im also guessing that her brother will too!
Val, she loves to "dip" everything! Never though of a frozen bagel. We have some blueberry bagels in the cupboard now. I think I will toss one in the freezer for tomorrow. ... I will let you know what happens!! Thanks!!
