The Cereal Myth

The Cereal Myth.

After dozens of years of massive marketing, the Cereal folks have convinced many that starting the day with a big bowl of cereal is healthy. They're only telling you half the story. One bowl of cereal may have many nutrients but all are extremely low in protein.

Guess what? The more lean muscle you have, the more calories you burn, even when you're not doing anything. This helps keep you thin. Well, lean muscle requires protein to survive. Guess what else? You need protein throughout the day to maintain lean muscle mass. Cereal isn't bad (most of them, anyway), but you do need to add extra protein to your breakfast such as egg whites.
