Accupuncture

I have just started acupuncture for achilles tendonitis and planters faciatis (sp). It has been 3 years and I haven't been able to wear a shoe with a heel in it for over a year (real pig in the winter!). The damage is quite severe. We are just starting to really work on the sore spots and I am actually feeling a bit of relief. It is minute, but I am estatic! Some of the needles hurt like holy heck and I sweat and tear. Others don't even feel like anything, it is so cool!
What I am wondering is if anyone else has been for acupuncture. I am experiencing nausea for hours afterwards. I don't like nausea!!! Has this happened to you? What are your experiences with acupuncture, and did it work? I would love to hear about your experiences.
