My podiatrist said there would be no need for surgery.
The meds i'm starting are a steroid pill. In 2 wweks I'll go back and if they haven't helped I'll get a shot, which I DO NOT want to get.
So far the arch supports help, but only when I have my shoes on. We don't wear shoes on the carpet so I have no clue what to do about it the pain when I'm indoors.

Coll get some houseshoes that your support will fit and wear those... or either put them inside of socks and wear them with socks.
if you need to wear support and go without them you are only hurting your food that much more.
