I start out watching TV while reading or doing a project of some kind. Something with plastic canvas or some kind of needlework. And yes I really do read while I'm watching TV. I probably listen more than I look, unless something is happening that I just have to see.
When dh goes to bed, I get on the computer. Mostly playing games, answering email or taking care of stuff I'm in charge of.

Pam, I have read that the light from the monitor tells your brain that it is not time to sleep. I too get very sleepy but am wide awake once I turn it off. The article said to get off the computer an hour before you want to go to bed. The same is true for TV according to the article.
