Kathy, I was lucky and never had any pain at all from the gasses though I have heard most people do. I was told if I did to rock in a rocking chair and that would help. You can try it and see if it works. So very glad you are home and on the road to recovery.

Kathy -- So very glad to hear that your surgery went well!! Dh goes in for some pre-operation tests today and then will have his gall bladder out on Tuesday. He's looking forward to getting it done already!

Take care of yourself -- don't do anything too strenuous for a while!!

Thank you all. I'm feeling pretty good today, the gasses seem to have dispersed, ok I farted a lot LOL but my tummy feels good.
I was told later that pure/very strong peppermint is good for stomach gas.
The hardest thing I find is sleeping on my back, I am NOT a back sleeper I like to lie on my sides, but I am getting sleep.
Mum came over yesterday and made me lunch and I won scrabble, she LOVED mu iTouch as well and I think she is now a big bejewelled fan.
David my hubby has been cooking, ok warming up and peeling veg to cook for dinner, he's going good, Cameron has been brining in the washing and doing little things, Michael does stuff if he is about but he's hardly home (he turned 19 on monday)

I have to go back in 2 weeks to see how I've healed, I have dissolving stitches, with butterfly thingys over and then a waterproof covering, they will work themselves off as time goes by.
That's my update .... you know I was lying up in hospital thinking of all of you that said, she'll be right Kathy all will be fine ..... you were right, it was!

Woohoo I took the covers off this morning leaving the butterfly (cross pieces) still on, all is looking good.
Under my belly button where they take the gall bladder out is looking a lovely shade of greeny yellow purple bruising but the rest you can just see tiny spots through the butterflies.
I am home alone today and just sitting here with my laptop and my iPod, I have my bottle of water and I am set .... but I'm feeling groovy! LOL
