Kathy, glad you got a good report from the testing but do hope the doctor can figure out the cause of your pain. I did not know they could just remove a gall stone without having to remove the gall bladder. I have learned something new.

That's what I thought to Sammi but it may just depend on your Surgeon?
If she has 1 now at 19 she could have another stone in the future if the bladder is not taken.

How long has the girlfriend had the pain? My dd1 had pain for two years until a doctor finally did an ultrasound and found stones, she was 14, we went ahead and had the gallbladder removed.

Last couple of months that I know of that the g/f was complaining of stomach pains but she didn't go into it with me, back then we didn't know each other well, they only started going out together last nov-dec.

Bilby, gallstones can be as small as a grain of sand..and I am not sure how sensitive tests are to pick that up.
I would keep complaining to your doctor till he/she finds an answer..I always believe the squeeky wheel gets the grease. lol

I have a question, when you eat it affects your gall bladder, eg: spicy/fatty food will set it off, how long after the food would you think the pain would be?

The gall pain has all gone away so maybe it was something I ate or other problems have put it in the shadows LOL
