Ok I have a question for anyone ..........
Some time, anytime, after your gall bladder removal did you get the feeling of the gall bladder/stone still being there, the pain that felt like it was still there but knowing it was gone?
It seems from what I gathered that it can work one of 2 ways with the gall bladder removed, to little bile flow and it can cause a problem and to much bile sends you to the loo a lot ............. what I've read only I have no confirmations so just curious to how you all went.

Yes Kathy I sometimes still feel as if they were still there and of course I know they are not. I see my surgeon on 31st of this month. I still have good bit of gas too. 2 of the 4 peristrips have come off but one in bellybutton and main one where the G-bladder was is still there. I have no intention of making them come off for fear of causing the 'holes' to bleed.
Back to bed with me God bless all

Patty when did yours come out? Did I miss that?

As I had mine out last October all things had been going well but the last week on and off I have had a pain where the gall bladder used to be and it felt just like the gall bladder pains before op. I went to the Doc and he said to watch my food but I'm 99.9% sure that I've not had fatty or large amounts of bad food over the last week.

I know you can get an enlarged/irritation of the bile duct where they snip things to take the bladder out. Why now is what I wonder ..................

Had my surgery last month on the 25th, would have seen surgeon on 10th of this month but already had appt on 5th and one today (Primary Care DR) and one on 23rd which is Orthopaedic DR so the agency to sees that I get to and from appts can on do them every 7 days so 10th was out now as I said will be 31st.
Fortunately the pain is minor but it is there at times.

Kathy, I had my gallbladder out 14 years ago but have not had any problems since. It is from this website that I found out you can still have issues even after the gallbladder is removed (which I had not known). What does your doctor recommend if you are already eating a healthy, low fat diet?

You can have stones in the liver ducts. This can be very serious, find a doctor that will listen to you.

For now the pain has gone away, I have done my back in now LOL so resting up on that.
If the pain for the bladder comes back Connie I will be right at my Docs asking plenty of questions believe me! I just thought it odd that it's now 4months later.

Well I went for an ultrasound and there is nothing wrong with my heart, liver or kidney size, no inflammation of the bile ducts or any stones anywhere. So I will see where this pain takes me.

ds1 girlfriend who is 19 has just had an ultrasound and she has a gallstone with pain but she says her Doc will only remove the stone but they are only in the beginnings of things.
