Hello guys Im Aaliyah Haywood, from Minnesota, I just turned 20 last April and my health insurance has been cancelled, I got a physical to check things out before then and my alt and ast liver enzyms were up so I got a ultrasound of my liver, nothing found.. got another blood test a couple days later and they were normal, then I turned 20 and my insurance cancelled..
But recently, I have been having this pain in my upper middle back down through my right side, it hurts when I stretch out and it hurts when I take deep breaths, the pain on a scale of 1-10 is about an 8 when I take deep breaths and about a 7 when I stretch the wrong way. I have some trouble swallowing too.. I am concern because if something happens to me my life is not insured. [a portion of this message has been edited by the head moderator. I really don't have any idea on the online insurance, but I can tell you to check out whoever you decide to try with the state insurance commisssion. I had insurance through a company that has been around a long time, but because it was a "private pay" plan it was not covered under the same rules and the federal government regulates it not the insurace commisssion. I didn't know that until it was too late. I ended up paying over $500.00 per month and they covered doc visits and prescriptions slow (usually took them 90 days to pay), but when I had a big bill come up they paid nothing! I didn't find this out till after the fact! They claim they don't have enough funds to cover the big expenses. So I ended up with all the medical bills. I turned it into the hands of the attorney general in the states it needed to be in. That won't help me , but might keep someone else from being scammed by that insurance company. All I can say is to be very careful who you pay the insurance money to; call the insurance commission in that state to see how the insurance company is paying and if they are over it. Also the BBB. Good Luck!
