HalloweenGhost and goblins everywhere! This is the webmom's favorite holiday. How about you? Boo! Share your creative ideas on costumes, parties, anything you can think of. Let's make this the best Halloween yet! Trick or Treat!
Ok for me my oldest stopped going trick or treating when she turned 13 years old.The main reason is that we just see any older kids out trick or treating and that is when i stopped going as a kid.Now if she wanted to go to a Halloween party or something like that then it would be fine with me.
We get a lot of older kids, some around 16 on my block. I don't mind, for the way I look at it, they are not TPing or egging my house, stealing my car or breaking into my garage or something cause they are bored. It gives them something to do and if they go to the trouble of dressing up, hey, why wouldn't I give them something? Some of the costumes are really excellent!
My son is 15 and he and his friends want to go out Trick or Treating. A nearby town (one of his friends lives there) has Halloween on Main Street, and that's where they plan to go. He knows I won't let him out without a costume. Actually he enjoys planning the costume and getting it together. Cooked, I am with you--there's a lot worse they could be doing. The town where we used to live had a lot of kids who wouldn't wear costumes. One year I decided to get my private revenge. I bought some Jolly Rancher "fire stix" which are spicy cinnamon, but red like the cherry or strawberry flavor. Teens without costumes got those. Anyone with costumes got regular candy. I know, from teaching, that teens like the Jolly Ranchers because they would sneak them in class--so I figured they'd have quite a surprise when they thought they were having a strawberry candy and it turned out to be "fire"
Joshua stopped trick or treating when he was about 9. He was soooooooo tall, that the people giving out candy were giving him snide comments about being too big. Kind of upset him, but it made me mad. Now, he is 16 and 6 feet 8 inches tall, he has no desire to go trick or treating. We do not even give out candy here anymore, as the last time we did, we had teenagers who were smoking. My husband said if they could buy cigarettes they could buy their own candy. LOL

We get a lot of kids here that are older so I am going to do what Barzy did this year but at leastthay wont be egging my house or damanging my property so its fine with me no matter what the age

Oh Bunny, you will be truly missed by your FC friends God's speed.
My DD who is 17 absolutely loves Halloween. She still gets dressed up every year, but doesn't go trick-or-treating. She was probably about 14 the last time she went. She and a few of her friends will probably just make the rounds of their families' houses and help hand out candy.
DD2 who is 14 went trick-or-treating last year, but informed me that she is too old this year. She doesn't plan to dress up at all.
My 17 y/o DD is still trick-or-treating, along with all her friends.. They plan to be snow white and the "seven" dwarves this year... but all the boy dwarves are planning to be Dopey, and all the girls are planning to be Grumpy. . It should be funny. My (almost) 13 y/o and I go out too.. I like to dress up, but I just steal the candy from my kids. The younger DD will be a "Goth" cheerleader
My son is 11 so he's OK. My 13yo goddaughter is mostly going so my son has someone to go with him. Her step dad & my hubby will be walking them around the neighborhood.
My best friend's stepsons are going trick or treating and they are 16 & 18. Too old I think. Not to mention, their dad buying the costumes for them! And the 18yo has a part time job!
