The Legend of Spookley the Square pumpkin was the theme of my neighbor's
nursery school party last year and was a great success. They read the book which is about a "square" pumpkin overcoming his differences from the other pumpkins in the patch. The kids loved it. It is by Joe Troiano and B&N sells it. There is also a cool Spookley website,
www.spookley.com. They pinned the stem on a giant square pumpkin and everyone was given a different shaped and colored
"pumpkin number." Then they had pumpkin squares for snack!! The DVD is out this week also and might be fun to have in the background for the kids.
