Candle Pumpkin...

Crafty Candle Pumpkin...

Tape strips of orange construction paper to the top and bottom of a tumbler glass so it forms a round pumpkin shape (the key is making them an inch or two longer than the height of the glass).Add some paper leaves and drop a candle inside for a simple,carve-free jack-o-lantern...

Im going to do these today, but use strong flicker candles instead.

These pumpkins are so darn cute but I'm not sure how I feel about that candle flame being so close to the paper. Maybe those little battery operated "candle" lights might be a safer bet?

I once had two votive jars explode while candles were burning in them. Thankfully I had them setting on a glass tray so the glass pieces and the burning candles didn't catch anything on fire but it scared the daylights out of me. Ever since then, I get really nervous when it comes to things like this.

As a candle expert I have to agree with you.. that is way too dangerous to do what they have suggested. A better choice would be the little battery operated flickering candles. You should never have paper anywhere near a burning candle.

Yep, that's the little lights I was talking about. It would be much safer. Thanks, Anna!
