Beauty Item Quietly Disappearing

Has anyone tried to find a metal nail file lately? I like them so much better than the cardboard emery boards and haven't had to look for one for awhile till the last month.

CVS- had one in pkg. with a emery board, cost $4 and I didn't even want the cardboard emery board.

I've looked at Krogers and Giant Eagle, they have none. I did find them yesterday on a whim I ask the cashier at Family Dollar if they had them.. she said "I doubt it" but we were both surprised to see them there. Cover Girl $1 each.. I bought 5 and will probably buy a few more to keep stocked up. I find especially for filing on my toenails the metal emery boards are much easier to handle than those flimsy cardboard ones and it's shaped better at least for me than either the little thin ones or the fat thick ones (cardboard files).

So if you enjoy using a metal file instead of cardboard, better stock up.. I think with the price of metal the cardboard ones are higher profit for the industry.

Nail techs will say that a metal file tears the nail, so they recommend using a emery board.

I thought maybe emory boards were used because you can toss them but metal files would need to be sterilized.
