Hairstyles to Fall Back On
By Jillian Bietz
With the cool weather lurking around the corner, it's almost time to plan for fall wardrobes and ditch your summer skin for a cool weather look. And while buying a whole new wardrobe to sustain your new fall style would be great, it's not always possible. If you are looking change, a new hairstyle is a perfect way to spruce up for fall. Here are some new ways to update your hair:
Braids:
From the "Little House on the Prairie" signature pigtail 'do to the trendy front braid to the complicated French and fishtail twists, braids are a great fresh look for fall. Braids are a fast way to look fashionable and well put together. Braids don't require much product, complication, or time to style. The timeless twists are great every occasion.
Thick Bangs:
If you have long, straight and smooth locks-or even if you don't- cutting some thick bangs will give your locks a much-needed makeover!! Not only are blunt, eyebrow length bangs stylish, they will highlight your eyes fabulously. So load up on the mascara!
Bobs:
Fashionistas and celebrities alike are trimming their tresses, and opting for much shorter, chicer 'dos by way of cute bobs. Though it may be a daring cut to take for someone used to longer hair, it's definitely a manageable and easy style. However, it's not a style for the faint of heart. Not quiet ready to take the plunge (er scissors!)? Try out a faux bob! Leaving the longer layers in a ponytail, gradually pull out the shorter layers and take a look in the mirror. That way, if you decide a bob is totally not your look, no harm done.
Ponytails:
From the playground to the party, ponytails are wearable, and easy, and definitely fashionable. Once considered a more sporty looking style, ponytails are popping up on manes from all walks of life. Whether you prefer to don your pony high in a classic Barbie-doll way or low and slung over one shoulder, ponytails are perfect for everyone.
