Summer Hair Care

I found this great article on how to care for your hair in Summer

Summer Hair Care

Do you already do any of this?

What would you like to do this summer to care for your hair better?

I couldn't get your link to work, but I found it here: http://www.familycorner.com/justfory...air_care.shtml

I am guilty of overwashing my hair.

I have short hair, so I am wondering about how much of that article applies to me. I wash it daily and condition about every other day. More conditioner than that, and I'll have really greasy hair :P

I do use a "smoothing" styling product that I think is an awful lot like a "leave-in conditioner." So I think that does the job for me.

I have short hair. I have a lot of hair but it is baby fine. No way, can I use a leave in conditioner. I have tried it. It is too heavy on my hair.

Yeah I cant use conditioner very often. Really weighs down the hair. I use Johnson's Baby No More Tangles on the bottom portion and it does not weigh my hair down. (and they make generic brands of the same thing and its a few pennies cheaper). My hair is super oily but if I have been beating it up with sun and Chlorine, I just dont wash it the next day and let the natural oils take over. I have to sit all day in a baseball hat and look hideous, but when I do wash it, it seems fine.

I also once had a "creme rinse" that had SPF in it. I dont know if it worked or not, but not seen anything like it for sometime. A hat works for me!

I do wash my hair less in the summer because I usually spend a lot of time in a chlorinated pool - in the winter months I def over wash.

I am just the opposite. If I've been in a pool, I HAVE to wash that chlorine out of my hair! I can't stand to go around smelling like a pool.

If your hair is color-treated, you definitely have to wash it after swimming.

The only time I condition my hair is after I've been in the sun for a long time.
I NEVER ever blow dry my hair. Unless when I have it done in the salon, I let them, but that may be only once a year.
I do not wash my hair every day. I will wash it one day, comb it nicely the second and the third it goes into a pony tail and that evening it gets washed, unless I've been around a grill/firepit, then it gets washed so I don't smell like I've been in a fire.
I've had salon ppl tell me I've got really healthy hair.

Coll, you are one lucky gal. I have very oily hair and it must be washed daily. I dont use conditioner either. It just makes my hair flat.

And I also don't blow dry unless I am going out, and I mean OUT, not to the market! LOL!

Have a super weekend everyone. I must get some work done. I have 3 contests to choose winners for...
