I was in my early 20's and I was a bit horrified! I used to pull out the greys, but now I would have a huge bald patch if I did that! I just colour it regularly!
What prompted this question Kathy??!! LOL

I had a few gray hairs even as a teenager. But never very many.
My mom always said "Don't pull them out--9 more will grow in the place of one!" I'm not sure how true THAT is
My mom, and her mother, were both completely gray well before they turned 40. Naturally I expected that the same thing would happen to me. I'm really amazed that, although I've had more gray hairs appearing lately, I don't have too much gray in my hair.
I don't intend to color it once it does start to go gray. I really don't mind them.

Found my first few grays around 30 from memory but being ash-blonde they didn't show. But by 40 I was classed as 85% gray. Now at 55 am VERY gray, but keep it well disguised. The side pieces (sideburns if I was a guy) are totally white.
Are you asking with any 'panic' or discovery attached, Kathy?

Only asking Meg for the last 5 or so years I've asked my hair dressers, do they see any grey hairs in there (just curious), the usual answer is no, but I have noticed a couple of short grey hairs sticking out of the top of my head. I was just wondering about age as I'm now 41 and thought I probably had them before now but just never knew, you can't see any.
My dh started getting them when we started our own business at (his age) 26 and he is 3/4 grey and 3/4 bald now funny the thinning/balding happened when the kids came along at about 24 LOL
My hair dresser has picked out 1 grey hair from ds2 and it stuck out so in his bright orange/reddy coloured hair you couldn't miss it and he was 11 then.
I think i saw my first gray at the age of 30 here.Tried to dye it but didn't like the color at all so i grew it out.Now i have some but not enought to color it yet.My dh aslo started getting his grey hair in his 20's and his hair is thining out too.Now that he is 41 his hair is almost complety gray but he refues to color it.
I have been spotting grey hair since I was about 30. And they do NOT bother me in the least. I notice them more and more and will tell my son he is doing this to me. LOL Just kidding with him though. Now my husband has been getting grey hairs since he was 20 and he is 44 now and almost completely grey. Handsome devil he is too. Now my sister, who is a year younger than my 41 years, HATES her grey hair and colors it regularly. Since she makes such a big deal about it, everytime my son sees her, he teases her about it. LOL

Oh Bunny, you will be truly missed by your FC friends God's speed.
probably when I was about 50, my dd started saying that I had gray hair-I have never seen it myself and always told her it was just the light since I was and am blond.
My dd will but hair color in ash blond to do her hair and mine. I've let her do mine, but to my eyes-normally, it doesn't look any different than before the color.
Although, I do have to admit here that there are days when I look in the mirror and I swear I have a full head of gray/silver hair on top, with blond roots.....
dh has been going gray for a couple of years-it shows most before he gets his hair cut. Otherwise he has a full head of dark brown hair-don't think he's ever going to have a problem with receding hair.

I had a streak of gray hair, a 'witch's streak', above my right eye at age 18. I am just today 45 and I am over one-third gray/white. The hairdresser who cut my hair says most women who frost their hair this way pay $80 US and here God is doing it for me for free! I believe I earned and I am entitled to everyone!
My second mom says, "I wish you would do something with your gray hair, you're making me feel old!"
She's got great-grandkids!
