How do you save money at the grocery store? - Page 11

I REALLY need to start using my bread machine again! My bread is almost $3 a loaf and DH's is $2! I know I can make his (potato bread) and he likes my homemade better anyway. Mine is a double fiber whole wheat and what really bothers me about making mine is if I can (and how would I know) that my carb count per slice would be as low as the one I buy.

Yippeee, one store has just started this week to put a coupon in the junk mail, looking forward to getting more of these to save my $

Our once a week 4 page newspaper has one ad now too, but it is for a stopre 30 miles away (one way)! I donlt tend to look at it,but I guess I should start as iti s near one DS and we have a standing tuesday barn building date at his place. So I could take advantage of it then.

Found a newer store that has fresh fish, and fresh vegetables along with some other things. Went to Jasper yesterday for a new heating pad and stopped at the store, they had green peppers 3/$1 and even Wally world they are 98 cents each!

I look at the grocery, drug store ads in the neighboring towns just in case I'm in that town that week I know if I want to stop and pick up a few things on special so I can allow extra time to do so. Most of the time there isn't enough that I would buy to make it worth a special trip with gas prices.
