Grocery Challenge 2009

I’m planning on getting back on track starting NOW

I am hoping to get a good start to the year. I will be doing a BIG shop this week as I have surgery on Friday, and I want to avoid sending my family to the grocery store for more than perishables until I am allowed to drive and shop for myself. I know that if I send people to the store to do a big shopping trip, they'll come home with everything under the sun and not bother to look for sales. So I have been loading the pantry and freezer the past few weeks.

Barb, smart move, my family left on their own would get everything from the closest store and leave the coupon book home. I’m planning on doing monthly menus and cutting down my time spent in the stores. That has to save me some bucks as I tend to sometimes over shop the sales.
