Here in Mississippi we pay 7% sales tax on everything and in TN it is 8.25%. and that is on everything also. Around school time the state of TN has a weekend where clothes, school supplies ane computer type equipment for school is exempt from sales tax. No such luck in MS. I have to tally up my spending. Went to the commissary Wend. Spent $217. Will tally up this weekend. When I shop at the commissary it is usually for 2 weeks.

I spent for the month of June, as of today
$571.92
I saved $28.22 between coupons and bonus store savings. I have $29.08 left to spend for the month to keep within my $600.00 Goal.
I think keeping a tab on what I spent this month kept my budget in line. I have everything I need for the month except eggs and milk....Thanks Gals for the help.

Hello Ladies,

I applaud all of you who are staying at or under your budgeted amount, I went over this month. I was so sure with all the stuff I had stocked up that I could get by with $250.00 or less. I certainly could have done it but my weakness is those store sales, I always think they are so good that I have to have them, sigh. I am at $286.59, not horrible but still over my goal. I usually budget $350.00-$400.00 for the month so at least I will be under that but I definitely love to grocery shop!

Jonnysgirl. You arn't doing bad, I have to confess I am a food shopper too, I love sales, I go broke saving money!

I need to go to the store tonight and get a few things for the house and also for camping this weekend. Hopefully I can stay under what I have left to spend. I will not go over my goal. We will see. I am cutting it very close.

I went to Krogers today and spent $86.12 and saved $101.84. $38.59 in coupons and $63.25 in store sales.
