I know, they want us to "go green" but shouldn't it be more economical? I guess going back to using just vinegar is one, using cloths instead of paper towels, it all sounds like how to be frugal as opposed to going green.

If you look around the supermarkets, the "green" stuff always seems to come at a premium price.
The other day I was food shopping, and they had "green, organic" laundry soap for $10 a bottle (100 oz). I found regular laundry soap for $1.25 for the same size bottle! Why would I pay almost $9 more just because they SAY something is "green?"
A lot of green is not necessarily in my budget, or I won't have any of the OTHER kind of "green" LOL
I'm with Bunny, I have gone back to using vingear and baking soda. I also use bleach a lot. We use cloth tableclothes & napkins, we just was them with the towel. We were getting lazy using paper towels so I stopped putting them in the holder for a while. I also mixed peroxide and water and put it in a spray bottle in my bathrooms to keep them a little more germ free during the flu season.

I think the recycled toilet tissue is too much for me but I have bought some green products and some are the same price as others. I think its definately more costly than homemade but I do both.
