hello
i am looking, for a wind up music box, for my grand daughters stufft bear
she had it as a baby, now has a darling little girl of her own, and would like to have this for her daughter
i have looked all over ,and there don't seem to be any to be had
so if any of you great ladies, know where you can, find one we , sure would be happy, to know where to go
i can replace the box, if , one can be found

If you're talking about the little music boxes to go inside the teddy bear, I used to find them at craft stores (Hobby Lobby/Michael's) but even more so, thru ceramic classes. (Call your Park Commission for possible programs if you don't find any independent ones). We were always making something with a music box in ceramics and our teachers always had great access to large varieties of music. ANd, they're the little 1-1/2 x 2" boxes which made it great! Have you tried Hallmark? Also, soon the Music Box Company will be popping up in the malls to sell things for the holidays. They just might have what you want. They're based in California, I believe.
Like MNNorsk, I suggest looking for a SanFransisco Music Box Company store in your area. They sell wind up music that goes into music boxes for around $12.00 a piece and have a huge selection of songs. You may even be able to purchase one at their website, but I can't recall their .com. I'm sure you'll be able to find it if you use a search engine like yahoo or askjeeves. Good luck!
In regards to the Teddy Bear Music? I know of one place in Michigan that can help with this. We had a teddy bear created for our daughter up in Mackinaw City this past summer. It is the Teddy Factory (I think this is the correct name) and the only ones I can think of are the ones you press inside its' paw. You might want to contact them and see if they can be more of an assistance in finding this part. This is all they do and I think they may be more knowledgable then not. I also believe there might be one in Novi, Michigan. But I am most defintely aware of the one in Mackinaw City. I hope this helps.
