Hubby and I are disagreeing about our butterfly bush. I say "you have to cut it right back every fall", he says "you just need to cut it a little".. Anyone care to referee?? LOL Oh BTW, we are in Ontario, Canada, and I believed we had to cut it back in the autumn.
ASk the people where you bought it from.
I bought mine from Lowes. They said I could do either. But cutting it way back would mean it would probably get way bigger next year.
I've only had it since June so I think I will let it winter over once without cutting it.

I have had my butterfly bush bush for several years. Last fall DH cut it way down. It did coe back and beautiful. I thought he killed it. I have gorgeous monarchs's and other butterflies every year.
