Janet, every single window in my house has dog nose prints on it!!

None of my violets are blooming - I don't think they are getting enough sunlight. But my 100 plus year old Christmas cactus is blooming beautifully!

Wow Sammi...congrats on your long time cactus! I will have to take some photos of mine..I started them with those 1 inch starts you find in the grocery...so they are old now..abotu 15+ yrs.

The Christmas cactus I have was given to my grandmother by a woman who had had it for 50 years. My grandmother kept it for 50 years then gave it to me. I had to re-pot it once but have now had it about 15 years. It still blooms every single year at some point during the holiday season. I am amazed it is as old as it is.

I was given one african violet by my mil about 18 years ago after admiring hers. I have since made about 6 other plants from that one plant. I have kept some and given others away.

Sammi, I have done that before with my african violets...then I had so many of the same flower..

Our grocery store gets some wonderful AV in and I am on the lookout for another one. I think I have room for 2 more on my window sill.
