Sueanne--I'd like a fig tree. I just can't get enough figs lol!! But I've heard that here in the north we'd have to bury them in the winter to keep them from freezing. Don't know how true that is lol. I'm thinking about potting one and just keeping it pruned.

We have such a short growing season here, and at the beginning of spring it was so wet and cold everyone got a late start with their planting. Our garden is doing well, but we have raised beds and I covered them with plastic to warm them up quicker.

I made watermelon jelly for the first time last year, and will be making more this year. Our neighbor down the street grows watermelons and gives us lots and lots lol!! The kids love the jelly, and it makes a good topping for ice cream.

I'm also going to make some pepper jelly this weekend--I got a great bumper crop of peppers!!
